New Athletic Set - ALD fabrics

Every month, Amelia Lane Designs is featuring a new fabric of the month. The featured fabric type is discounted throughout the entire month! It's so nice if your favorite fabric type is featured or one that you've just been wanting to try.  This month, the featured fabric is Athletics! I LOVE the athletics from ALD! And, the best part is, every time I make something new from athletics, I get motivated to move and exercise!   **Disclosure: I have included affiliate links in this post. My Rosanna Swim Dress

I've been eying this pattern for a while. Like maybe since it released? I've always loved swim dresses. I've had a few through the years, but I've had trouble finding them. I always get a little nervous to possibly waste fabric. But, I guess that's a risk you have to take every now and again. 😉 I made the swim dress. It's not perfect, and I now know of a few minor adjustments I'll make next time, but this one is totally wearable, and I really love it!  This is my Rosanna Swim Dress ! All About This ...

The Petite Stitchery Solis

I made a bathing suit! 👙 An actual bathing suit. I still kind of cannot believe I did it. I also can't believe I made a two piece. I don't think I've actually worn a two piece like this since I was in high school maybe. Will I find the courage to actually wear it to the beach or pool? Still to be decided. 🤣 But I'm super proud of the actual sewing! I've wanted to do a few projects this year to "push" my skill set and learn new things. One of the things I'd like to tackle is a quilt... the other thing I wanted to try was swim. **Disclosure: This post contains my affiliate link to the patterns used. If you choose to purchase, I'll receive a small commission of the sale at no additional cost to you** I found some courage to try sewing swim a few weeks ago when I made a rashguard and swim skirt. You can read all about it here . But as practical as it is, and as much as I'll wear it, I still had not tried an actual bathing suit - you know,...
