The Annelaine Mark

I've been into color-blocking lately. It's a really fun way to use solids, small scraps, and custom fabrics to keep the cost down. Also, if you want to use only solids, you can use color-blocking to make something totally cool and NOT boring. Solid tees have their place, but my nearly 5 year old doesn't want to wear solids all the time, and I don't blame him! There are so many fun prints out there, and fun looks... why would he want to wear a plain ol' blue shirt when he could have something much more fun?  **Disclosure: This post contains my affiliate link to the pattern I used to make this shirt. If you choose to purchase a pattern from Annelaine Patterns using my link, I'll receive a small commission at no additional cost to you.** So when I saw the Mark Tee , I knew I had to try it, and I knew I had to try one of the color-blocked options! I really liked this color-blocked option the best. It is a little different from other recent sews, and...

New Halloween Tees!

I've never loved Halloween. No real reason, just never liked it. Dressing up isn't my thing. I don't care for the scary stuff. Somehow the dressing up and trick-or-treating and all the decorations just doesn't appeal to me. But... OH MY GOODNESS... I have a child who is obsessed. He loves everything Halloween. If it's scary, he likes it. If it's a pumpkin, a ghost, a skeleton, anything that could be Halloween related, he wants it. He's teaching his little brother to appreciate the holiday as well. While I was walking through Hobby Lobby the other day, Luke spotted orange flowers... he yelled about the "Halloween Flowers" until we exited the store. **Disclosure: I have included my affiliate link to the fabric used in this post. Daniel's Inspiration Hoodie

I saw an ad for a hoodie a little while ago... I kind of liked it for Daniel, so like any normal person would do, I took a screenshot so that I could attempt to recreate it. You know... why buy it for $14 when you can make it for around $10 + 2 hours? 😜 **Disclosure: I have included my affiliate link to the pattern and fabric I used for this post. If you choose to purchase a pattern using my link, I'll receive a small commission from the sale at no additional cost to you!** So... there we have it! Daniel's color blocked tee! I made this version using the Dill Pickles Tee from Pickle Toes Designs/ Meyraki! Why An Inspired Sew? One thing I love about sewing is making things that are different or unique. I love making things that no one else has. But sometimes, it can be a really fun challenge to find something and see if you can recreate it. It's fun to see how close you can get to the original. It's also kind of fun to say, "I could have bought that.....

The Wardrobe by My Wardrobe Builder Tee

I may have an excessive number of basic tee patterns. For some reason, I guess I just can't help myself ... I want to try them all. But without trying one, I may miss out on something really awesome. So there's a really good reason to try all the patterns, right? **Disclosure: I have included my affiliate link to this pattern throughout this post. If you choose to make a purchase from Wardrobe by Me using my link, I'll receive a small commission of the sale at no additional cost to you.** Let me introduce you to the Wardrobe Builder Tee by Wardrobe by Me Patterns. Have you ever had one of those patterns that had lots of options... you were SO excited to buy or test it because of all the variations. But then when you opened the file, it was really difficult to sort through. It was hard to figure out which pages to print, and the instructions were a bit overwhelming.  Let me start with telling you, This is NOT that pattern! Easy To Print and Put Together: This pa...

The 5 out of 4 Easy Tee

Do you have any idea how many  tee shirt patterns there are out there for ladies? WOW! There are a ton. You can find super fitted tees, semi fitted tees, relaxed fit tees. There are tees with different length options, different neckline options, included hoods and cowl necks. There are all kinds of different tee patterns available. Then you'll find similar patterns from different designers, but although they're almost the same, the fit will be different. You'll find that some designers fit your body with few adjustments and others may need a lot of work to fit you well. Some designers you may land all in one size, while others you have to blend two or three sizes to get your best fit. I say all this just because there is a really good reason to own more than one tee pattern. And obviously, I believe there's a good reason to try them all! **Disclosure: I have included my affiliate link to the pattern used in this post. If you choose to purchase a 5oo4 Pattern using ...
