New Tees for Scotty - The Wardrobe by Me Breton and Classic Tees

It's been a bit since I've pattern tested for Scotty. Leah bought some royal blue fabric several weeks ago for me to make a tee shirt for Scotty, so when I saw the pattern test by Wardrobe by Me, I decided that it was the perfect time to make him a couple of new shirts. Wardrobe by Me is releasing both the short sleeve "Classic Tee" and the long sleeve "Breton Tee." They are both classic designs, but have some differences setting them apart from one another. The Classic Tee : The Classic Tee is your regular short sleeve tee shirt design. It's designed for jersey fabric with or without stretch. The neckline should be made using a ribbed fabric (or something with good stretch and recovery). It is drafted in sizes 2XS-3XL (27.5" to 45" Chest). The height for the pattern is drafted based on size (and ranges from 5'4" for the smallest size to 6'2" for the largest size). The design is a "classic" fit - not...

Scotty's Favorite Shirt

Scotty always makes me so happy - he's wearing his Laura-made clothes every chance he gets. And, he's always happy to receive another shirt (whatever I choose to make). Sometimes he picks fabric, and sometimes I get to surprise him. He's generally easy to please. Sewing for him is SO fun because I know I'll get to see him wearing whatever I make again and again. It seriously makes my heart happy. **Disclosure: I have included my affiliate link to the pattern I used for this post. If you choose to purchase a pattern using my link, I'll receive a small commission at no additional cost to you.** We have a few patterns that we've tried that we've liked a whole lot, and one that we've absolutely loved, and have used several times... that one was the 5 out of 4 Rocky Tee . I've shared about it before, but now that I've just made him his 6th or 7th Rocky , I decided that it was time to share about it again, and maybe show some of the fabulous long...

The Rocky Tee by 5 out of 4 Patterns

It feels so weird, but I've started using Men's Patterns for my nephew! 😏 How is he big enough?? Some companies include a size 2XS in their men's size chart, and he is actually fitting in that size pretty well now. So it just makes sense when getting a pattern, to get one that he's not going to grow out of! **Disclosure: I have included my affiliate link to the patterns mentioned in this post. If you chose to purchase using my link, I will receive a small commission from the sale at no cost to you.** So, when Amelia Lane Designs announced they were releasing this fabulous Striped Jersey, I immediately thought of him. I knew I had to make something for him with it. This came right after the release of the Rocky Tee by 5 out of 4 Patterns , and at the same time as a sitewide sale at 5 out of 4... so, it was meant to be. Right? Check out that Stripe Matching 😍 So Let's Talk About the Pattern: First... How about the amazing size range? 🎉If you wear a siz...

The Tropical Shirt by Wardrobe by Me

I love Wardrobe by Me Patterns. Every pattern I have made goes together so easily, fits so well, and has been a favorite for me. She has several men's patterns, but until recently, I had not made one. When I saw the tester call for the Tropical Shirt, I immediately wanted to test it! It really doesn't look like something my husband would wear, however. I looked at the sizes hoping that my nephew might fit. I had looked at her mens' sizing chart last year when she released her polo. But he didn't quite fit then. I was happy to discover that his chest measurement now fits into her 2XS patterns! It's so weird using a men's pattern for him (wow he's grown), but it's nice to have a few more options for patterns that fit! It's also nice having some more options from a designer I really like! **Disclosure: I have included my affiliate link to this pattern throughout this post. If you chose to purchase this pattern using my link, I will receive a s...
