I love sewing for all the holidays. I love making things for the boys for Christmas, Valentine's, St. Patrick's, Easter... Every holiday they get something new. Generally for Christmas and Easter, they'll get two new things - one is their "fun" holiday outfit, and one is dressier for Church. This year has been tough. Somehow I thought that since we're home all the time, I'd have more sewing time. Nope, not the case. I've barely found any sewing time. I love sewing, but the kids have worn me out during the day! I typically do a lot of sewing after they go to bed (at least a few nights a week), but recently, I'm ready to sleep as soon as they are! So... I was VERY last minute this year sewing Easter attire. I looked weeks ago at Joann's to get ideas of fabric for their dressy outfits. I found a beautiful light blue shirting that I planned to go back and get. It was not on sale that day, and I was already using my coupon for something else. ...

I've never loved Halloween. No real reason, just never liked it. Dressing up isn't my thing. I don't care for the scary stuff. Somehow the dressing up and trick-or-treating and all the decorations just doesn't appeal to me. But... OH MY GOODNESS... I have a child who is obsessed. He loves everything Halloween. If it's scary, he likes it. If it's a pumpkin, a ghost, a skeleton, anything that could be Halloween related, he wants it. He's teaching his little brother to appreciate the holiday as well. Daniel is going back to school in a little over a week. He's READY. I'm not sure that I am though! We've enjoyed the summer but I'm going to miss him! But going back to school called for getting a few new outfits... Daniel helped me with some online fabric shopping so that we could make him what he wanted for school to start! Puperita is releasing FOUR new patterns today! 🎉 I love Puperita! My boys' closet is filled up with Puperita patterns! They have rompers, shorts, tee shirts, button downs, vests, dressy church clothes from their Puperita Patterns. I never hesitate to try a new pattern, and am always happy with the outcome. I also really enjoy testing for Annalisa. She is generally very organized, and I am always happy enough with the fit of even the first version, so I never feel like there is a waste of fabric. So... as usual, she announced that she needed testers for some new patterns. But the patterns were a surprise. I jumped at the opportunity to test, because I really needed motivation to kickstart the boys' summer wardrobe. I decided to test for Luke.
