So, as you may have seen, Sinclair Patterns is running a sale this week! It's the last week of the year, and she has marked everything in her shop 25% off for a boxing day/ End of Year Sale! So generous! I started sewing more for myself in 2018, and discovered a couple of pattern designers that I love using for my clothes... Sinclair is one of them! I've mentioned before that I get a really great fit from her patterns. Every Sinclair pattern I have tried has been on regular rotation. They're all so perfect, and fit my body type wonderfully. So since she is having a sale, I started looking back at photos so that I could share the sale in Facebook Sewing Groups. I love this top! 💓 It's more than just a basic tee, but it's just as comfortable as one! This is CKC Hollis ! This pattern makes such a cute top to pair with jeans or leggings, and is a surprisingly easy sew! You have a few options for sewing this pattern! The Sleeves: This pattern comes with different sleeve lengths to make the perfect top for any time of year. The sleeves are finished with a simple cuff, for a very easy finish! I love not having to measure and pin a hem! 😉 I made both of my tops with long sleeves, because it's so cold right now! I wanted a couple of tops to keep me warm! The Crossover Band: There are two options for the bottom crossover on this pattern. For each of my two shirts, I used the curved hem band. You can optionally use a solid (straight/ non-curved) band. Have you ever had a favorite dress? You know the one that is so comfortable, but practical. It is perfect for wearing everyday, but also appropriate for wearing to church. It definitely would be an office staple, because you can look professional, but you feel like you might also be wearing your favorite nightgown. The second I put on my new Sinclair Dakota , I knew that this was that dress for me. I LOVE it! Let me tell you all about this pattern! You have quite a few options to make this your perfect dress . The length: You can choose between dress length or tunic length. Dress length hits at about knee length. Tunic length is about mid-thigh length and is perfect for wearing with leggings or skinny jeans (maybe even opaque tights). This is the dress length  And here is Tunic Length! Do you love wearing tee shirts? They're so comfortable, but I love feeling "put together." I enjoy wearing comfortable clothes that also could double as something work/ church/ whatever appropriate. Part of my love for sewing knits probably comes from my love for wearing knits. They're just so soft and easy to wear, but with the right pattern and the right fabric, you can really look a little dressed up. I first tried the Tidewater Tee by Winter Wear Designs over the summer. I loved the style, but needed to work on the pattern a little to get my perfect fit. This top was made to be a summer top - it has short sleeves or cold shoulder sleeves included in the pattern. It has a back yoke with a cute cut-out in the back. It's the perfect summer top. But it's so cute, why not use it year-round?
