Do you have any idea how many tee shirt patterns there are out there for ladies? WOW! There are a ton. You can find super fitted tees, semi fitted tees, relaxed fit tees. There are tees with different length options, different neckline options, included hoods and cowl necks. There are all kinds of different tee patterns available. Then you'll find similar patterns from different designers, but although they're almost the same, the fit will be different. You'll find that some designers fit your body with few adjustments and others may need a lot of work to fit you well. Some designers you may land all in one size, while others you have to blend two or three sizes to get your best fit.
I say all this just because there is a really good reason to own more than one tee pattern. And obviously, I believe there's a good reason to try them all!

So... although I have tried a lot of other tee patterns, I was still eager to try the 5 out of 4 EASY TEE!
ALL ABOUT THIS PATTERN:
This pattern is another that is full of choices. It has a somewhat relaxed/comfortable fit and has several length options, sleeve options, and a few neckline options. There is also an optional front pocket and inseam pockets.
When you're sewing this pattern, you can choose the length of your top - do you want your top to be hemmed or banded? Do you want tunic length, or a top with a curved hem (my favorite for wearing with leggings)? Or you can choose whether you would like a short (mini length) dress or a long (around knee length dress).
For your neckline, you can choose whether you would like a crew neckline, a scoop neck, or a v-neck. There are also two hood options - a more oversized hood that fits onto the scoop neckline or a regular hood for the crew neckline.
The pattern is available in sizes XXS-5XL. You will need knit fabric for sewing this pattern. For the bands, you'll want to use a knit fabric with excellent stretch and recovery.
SEWING THIS PATTERN:
Y'all I have a lot of tee shirts... some that I love and some that I don't love. And the fact that I recently made two other tees for a pattern test made me not want to make a regular basic tee.
So I went shopping in my fabric stash and found this beautiful DBP that I received in a scrap box a while ago. It was tucked away and I had kind of forgotten about it. I decided that this would be perfect for this top.
Initially, I wanted to do the long dress length, but when I laid my pattern pieces out, my fabric wasn't quite long enough. I did have enough, though, to make a short dress with 3/4 length sleeves. The dress is shorter than I typically would choose, but the fabric has some navy that coordinates with a pair of navy leggings I've had forever! And, I'm really liking it!
Yep... I really like how it turned out! I'm sure I'll be getting a lot of wear from this when the weather cools off!
