Well, I almost always feel like I need more socks. I never feel like I have enough pairs, and half of them always seem to have holes somewhere in them.  So, I was a bit intrigued when I saw the tester call for the SOCK sewing pattern. Well, a few months back, I saw a pre-order for this fabric. I KNEW Luke would love it, so I ordered some. I knew it was iffy whether or not Daniel would like it. But, for the last several weeks, he has REALLY gotten into Paw Patrol and Mighty Pups, so he fell in love with the print. He possibly likes it more than his brother. So when I saw the tester call for the update of  CKC Josh's Pajamas , I decided to use some of this really fun fabric and make Daniel a new pajama set. Kristen was really needing some testers for shorts to fill the test. Many testers wanted to do the pants version since we're mid-winter here in the U.S., but Daniel likes to sleep in shorts, so I applied to test! Daniel loves them y'all! Want to hear about the pattern ? The pattern is a knit pajama pattern that has options for short sleeve or long sleeves, and shorts or pants. The short sleeve/shorts version is hemmed, while the long sleeve, long pants version has banded sleeves and ankles. ...

I missed out on the tester call for the first version of this sweater , and I was a bit sad while I watched all of the testers turn theirs in. So... when there was a version 2, I jumped on it! 😉 This is a new sweater by CKC patterns - it's called " Serenity ." It is an easy pattern that goes together very quickly! The Pattern: The pattern is for a cute almost-off-the-shoulder sweater. It has a slightly relaxed fit, really cute balloon sleeves, and a kangaroo pocket. The top pattern goes together kind of like a raglan tee, but it's a much wider neckline. I'd say it's somewhere between a wide boatneck and off the shoulder. It is SO quick, because NO HEMMING! I've had two two-yard cuts of solid olive sitting on a shelf for months, just waiting to be made into something. But apparently at some point, I cut a little piece from both of them for different projects... so now I had two slightly-smaller-than-two yard cuts sitting there waiting... I had kind of forgotten about them until my husband got his Christmas present from his mom... an olive polo. When he opened it, I said, "I have fabric that color! I'm going to make me a matching dress!" So, when Shannon announced that she needed a few more pictures of Lillith sewn up, I jumped in, thinking I'd make my olive dress, forgetting that I had cut into my olive fabric. 🤣 Unfortunately they were slightly different color olives (they came from different places), so I couldn't just use some of both to make the dress work. I love putting babies and toddlers in outfits like this. They're really adorable, and you can make them "dressy" or fun depending on what fabric types you use. And you can only dress little boys like this for so long, and then they're too big. So, I like to dress him like this while he will still let me! 💓 When this pattern was ready for testing, I knew that, even though Luke has similar things, I would still want to test it. The sleeves are what drew me in! I loved the look of the pleats and the fullness on the shoulders. It is such an easy sew, because it's a basic tee shirt with as Shannon has called it, "extra" sleeves! This is CKC Angel's! It really is so cute and so quick! You can use just about any knit fabric, but keep in mind that the more stable the fabric you use, the more structure you'll have on the sleeves (something like liverpool or ponte would be AMAZING).
